Mundan Sanskar — An Overview
Mundan Sanskar, also known as Chudakarana, is one of the most celebrated Vedic rites performed for young children. This ceremony involves shaving the child's head for the first time and is traditionally performed between the age of 1 and 3 years. It is performed with havan and Vedic mantras at our mandir, making it a meaningful and joyful family occasion.
मुंडन संस्कार, जिसे चूडाकरण भी कहते हैं, छोटे बच्चों के लिए किए जाने वाले सबसे प्रसिद्ध वैदिक संस्कारों में से एक है। इस समारोह में बच्चे के बाल पहली बार काटे जाते हैं और यह परंपरागत रूप से 1 से 3 वर्ष की आयु के बीच किया जाता है।
Understanding this Vedic Ceremony
In Vedic tradition, a child is born with hair from the womb which is considered to carry the impurities of past life. Mundan removes this hair, symbolically cleansing the child and preparing them for a fresh, pure beginning. The ceremony is also believed to enhance the child's intellect, health, and well-being.
वैदिक परंपरा के अनुसार बच्चा जन्म के समय जो बाल लेकर आता है वे पूर्व जन्म की अशुद्धियाँ लिए होते हैं। मुंडन इन बालों को हटाकर बच्चे को शुद्ध करता है और एक नई, पवित्र शुरुआत की तैयारी करता है। यह संस्कार बच्चे की बुद्धि, स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण को बढ़ाने वाला भी माना जाता है।
